COOKE PARK

Situated at Boat Harbour, off Jupiter Street. This dog-friendly coastal park is a perfect picnic spot, only a short stroll to Boat Harbour Rock Pool and Gerringong Boat Ramp. The park is wheelchair accessible  

Picnic areas, well-appointed amenities including gas Barbeques, wheelchair and mobility scooter accessible, with ample easy access parking.  

BOAT HARBOUR ROCK POOL

This exquisite natural rock ocean pool is tucked away in a sheltered rock-faced cove.

The pool with a sandy beach at the shallow end is a fantastic, safe place to snorkel or swim. Access is via a walkway about 50 metres long starting at the Boat Harbour (Cooke Park) Reserve.

BOAT HARBOUR

The Boat Harbour boat ramp is easily accessible and located 100 meters from Villa del Porto driveway. There is ample car and trailer parking and a large fish cleaning bench with fresh water.

A favourite spot for anglers as many species frequent the area including black fish and squid

RESTAURANTS

Dine at the villa or one of the abundant choices of local eateries only a kilometre away in Gerringong. 

There are also plenty of takeaway options to be had.

There is an excellent local IGA with an adjacent Cronin’s Liquor Store. 

There is a wonderful variety of bird life in the area, which is a haven for water and sea birds, including pelicans, silver gulls, crested terns, herons, egrets and pied oystercatchers.

In the scrub around Boat Harbour, there is also an extensive variety of bird life, including bowerbirds, wrens, honeyeaters, and masked lapwings. With numerous raptor and parrot species visiting the area, including rosellas, galahs, sulphur-crested cockatoos, and black cockatoos.

Water dragons and various other lizards are often seen around Villa del Porto.
